We are a direct importer and have one of the largest selections of hand made pottery around. We specialize in high quality Vietnamese black clay. The craftsmen that survived the internal strife of Vietnam over the last 30+ years are now again making pots today as they have for centuries. Made entirely by hand using the “coil” method. Clay is mined from the hillsides and brought to the artesian where he hand crafts the pottery using skills that have been passed down for centuries from father to son. Pottery is then fired in a wood-fired kiln and then glazed and fired again. Pots are designed to withstand freezing temperatures and are meant to last a lifetime. Imported exclusively for Hidden Gardens, it would be difficult to find a better, hand-crafted pot anywhere.
